Prakash Jha, who previously had a lot of trouble facing Nana Patekar’s ire on the sets of Rajneeti had another issue. He had a hard time explaining continuity to Katrina, the lead actress of the film.

Katrina’s look in the film is entirely de-glam as compared to her usual roles. Her look requires her to dress in a simple sari and no makeup. However, Katrina Kaif wouldn’t realize how essential it was for her to look the same throughout the film.

She would turn up to the sets looking different daily. Prakash Jha would then have to ask her make-up man to work on her and get her to seem to be the same as she did in the last scene, thus wasting a lot of time. And Katrina Kaif never realized that she is looking different and keep saying that she looks the same.

Both Prakash Jha and Katrina Kaif have denied this and said that she never had a continuity problem and that her character undergoes a change in the movie.

Katrina, who has launched her Bollywood career with an unremarkable dud like ‘Boom’, is now, unquestionably, the reigning queen of the town. Despite cultural  and linguistic barriers that came her way, the beautiful damsel escalated to the top with her sizzling on-screen presence and deadly chemistry with Akshay Kumar in movies like ‘Namaste London’, ‘Singh is King’, ‘Welcome’ & the latest flickDe Dana Dan ‘.’

The ageing 36-year old Aishwarya is, surely, losing her sheen and is apparently fuming over her arch-rival for grabbing all the limelight. Earlier this year, the sexy and radiant Katrina pipped Ash to turn out to be the first Indian to have a replica of Barbie doll modeled after her.

Just when she needed to go all out to promote her film De Dana Dan, Katrina has been diagnosed with jaundice and a low hemoglobin count. Katrina kaif has been advised complete bed rest by her doctor.

The actress had been feeling queasy and weak since quite a few days but she kept ignoring the warning signals because of her hectic schedule.

This was until Sunday morning, when Katrina couldn’t drag herself out of bed. “That’s when Katrina Kaif realized something was seriously wrong. She was taken to the doctor who performed a series of tests on her and doctors have found that her hemoglobin count had gone down drastically,” says a close pal of Katrina.

On Monday evening, Katrina Kaif was seen entering a suburban hospital looking pale and weak. She was in the hospital for nearly five hours. At last, on Tuesday afternoon she was diagnosed with jaundice.

Katrina has been forbidden to move out of her home for the next couple of weeks but she insists on getting back on her feet much sooner because of her professional commitments.

Katrina’s business manager said, “She is trying to rest so that she can fulfill her commitments as soon as possible.  The doctor advised her to take complete bed rest.”

Bollywood’s reigning beauty Katrina is down with jaundice and has been advised complete bed rest for some days.

Katrina was supposed to begin promotions of her soon-to-release De Dana Dan where she is paired opposite her lucky co-actor Akshay Kumar.

According to reports, Katrina had been feeling weak for the past few days. When she might not get out of her bed on Sunday, she consulted a doctor.

Katrina Kaif, who had been looking pale at one of her recent promotions, had to be hospitalized for a few hours.

The Namastey London actor has been advised not to move out of her residence for the next few weeks.

Mumbai: Bollywood Barbie doll Katrina has rebuffed reports of her trying her hands in producing movies.

In an interview she said, “I am happy with acting.” Katrina Kaif said she has no plan to switch over to production field.

Katrina said she had no clue from where these rumours originated. She never gave any sign of coming into production.

Katrina said that she had no plan to produce flicks. Rubbishing all these stories, she said that those were speculation.

At present, she is enjoying success of “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (APKGB)” that is doing well.

Nothing succeeds like success. But Katrina is in no mood to rest on her laurels.

The debacle of Yuvvraaj previous year may have slowed the pace of her progress, but the stunning damsel has made up for it with two nonstop hits: New York and Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani.

Emerging as the most bankable actress in B-town, Katrina isn’t letting success go to her head. Rather, she takes every new film of her as a new challenge.

“It is like a new journey every time and hence has never got that feeling that ‘Oh, since I now have so many successful films under my name, let me take it easy’,” Katrina Kaif is quoted to have said.

Now, this Friday, ready to hit the marquee is De Dana Dan, Katrina Kaif second film with Akshay Kumar this year after her brief cameo in Blue. Lots of expectations are attached to this movie because it marks the return of the Hera Pheri jodi – Akshay, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal. Katrina is the icing on the cake.

Katrina Kaif says she did this film only because Akshay Kumar asked her to.

“I can’t turn Akshay down,” Katrina said.

After the runaway victory of AJAB PRE KI GHAZAB KAHANI, the month end will see Katrina in a totally different role in Priyadarshan’s comic caper, DE DANA DAN and in the first quarter of 2010 Katrina will be seen indulging in politics (on -screen) in Prakash Jha’s RAJNEETI.

So, what’s on Katrina Kaif’s mind? Isn’t she fulfilled with her glamorous ‘avatar’ and is it that she wants to be recognized as a good actress as well?

Bollywood actress Katrina look-alike Barbie doll has arrived in the country. It was designed to spot Barbie’s 50 Years.

Katrina Kaif also walked the ramp as the showstopper for the “All Doll’d Up” special show dedicated to Barbie at the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai earlier this year. She sported a small pink dress designed by famous designer Neeta Lulla’s daughter Nishka. The ‘Katrina Barbie‘ will be wearing the similar design.

“I have been a part of the entire process of doll making and it is been quite fascinating. Since, I’ve been traveling out of Mumbai for the promotions of my movies; unfortunately I’ve not been able to see it yet. I am really looking forward to see the doll as soon as I get back,” Katrina Kaif said in a statement.

A product of Mattel Toys, the Katrina Barbie a commemorative product is not for sale.

Well, before you read too much into the heading let us clear the air the ultimatum has got nothing to do with Salman Khan. Katrina who stars in the romantic comedy De Dana Dan gives ultimatum to Akshay Kumar in the story. Priyadarshan who is a master in triggering such sub plots in his movies does it again which gets the entire story rolling.

Katrina Kaif who loves a jobless Akshay Kumar in the movie asks him either to earn money or forget her as her parents are geared up to get her married a suitable groom. Akshay Kumar gets into action and takes a drastic step and hell breaks lose! Sources close to the movie say that with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal on-board, Priyadarshan may just create the magic of Hera Pheri.

Katrina Kaif will be performing on the eve of  new year at a Mumbai five star hotel and if the sources are to be believed she will be charging whooping Rs.2 crore for the half an hour performance.

She will be paid almost twice of what she was offered last year to perform on New Year’s Eve at the J W Marriott. The star’s value was Rs 1 crore to usher in 2009. But due to the 26/11 terrorist attacks, the entire celebrations in the city were cancelled.

However this year she will perform and for the 30 minutes performance she will be paid Rs. 6, 66,666 per minute. By doing so Katrina Kaif has left behind Bipasha Basu and Mallika Sherawat.

Katrina Kaif had Last year scored over Bipasha Basu and Mallika Sherawat who have also performed at the same place.

While Mallika made Rs 50 lakh to welcome 2007 whereas Bipasha got Rs. 90 lakh to usher in 2008.  Source say Katrina Kaif will perform solo in the countdown to 2010. She will dance to most popular tracks from her own films. Though Katrina Kaif herself is maintaining silence by saying, “Nothing is confirmed about December 31 yet.”

But the source insists that the hotel is by now making arrangements for her live act. They are touting it as a very special show and their biggest draw for the December 31 night

Apart from Katrina’s act, the hotel will also have 10 party zones which will be accessible for an all-access entry ticket for Rs.10,500 per head for the early birds (till November 30) and Rs.12,000 per head from December 1 onwards.
