A marriage certificate in Indore (allegedly approved by the Municipal Corporation there) suggests that Katrina is married to local BJP MLA Ramesh Mendola. It also claims that the actress married him on December 2 last year. Whereas the Indore Municipal Corporation has previously issued a statement that the marriage certificate is entirely fake and has not been issued by them, the actress is very much irritated with the news of her “marriage.”

Katrina Kaif says, “Clearly, it is a fake certificate! I have never been married in my life and neither do I know this guy at all. It is stupid and illegal what he has made and the police have previously filed a case against him. The cops called me to utter that this man had issued a fake marriage and they are taking action against him. I guess the more famous you get, the more people do such ridiculous things. I was in New York on Dec. 2 shooting for New York — the day this guy claims to have married me.”

Katrina continues, “We have all kind of crazy fans and people out there. Juhi Chawla’s staffs who now work with me tell me that even she used to face the similar thing. And after a point, she stopped clicking pictures with fans as she had no control over where they would pop up or how they would be misused. I guess we all have to be taught to handle such weird people sometimes. It is part of the life of a celebrity.”

On a positive note, Katrina Kaif has reason to smile. Her last release Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is doing good business, “The achievement of the film is really surprising. Ajab will always be one of my most special films. It is a sweet and simple film that brings a smile to my face when I saw it and I have seen it three times till now. I feel I am blessed and this is God’s special kindness to me. It is a love story between a boy and a girl. Yashji (Chopra) had explained to me the significance of doing love stories.”
