The Internet search giant announced the latest survey –The Google Zeitgiest (Spirit of the Times 2009)-based on Google India‘s search queries which determined what Indians were searching for all over the year.

The list gives us insight to the events, people and trends that dominated the year.

Interestingly enough Katrina Kaif topped the “Most Popular Celebrities” list and was featured second on the “Most Popular Mobile Queries in India”.

Reveals a source “Katrina Kaif still tops the list for the 2nd year. She even beat Michael Jackson who featured 2nd in the search engine for popular celebrities. Now that is something.”

“Katrina has never failed to interest people. She is the only person to feature in the list twice in the top 3 slots. Be it her endorsements, her movies, her trends, everything Katrina Kaif seems to touch turns into gold” adds the source.

Recently the dazzling Katrina Kaif was voted the “Sexiest Actress “ by London Eastern Eye and featured 2nd on the “Top Online Newsmaker of 2009”list by Yahoo !
