A leading five star hotel in Mumbai announced that Bollywood’s gorgeous Katrina Kaif will not be performing at the hotel for this New Year’s Eve.

The note said: “It is common knowledge that the actress Katrina is suffering from ill health and she has been advised to refrain from any form of strenuous activity for the next few weeks. So she has had to withdraw several commitments which would have involved extensive physical strain.”

Katrina said, “It is with great regret that I have had to opt out of performing this New Year’s Eve, due to health reasons. I am sorry for the disappointment caused to the hotel’s guests and my fans.”

However another Bollywood beauty Bipasha Basu, Katrina’s co-star in Race will dance the night away at another five star location in the maximum city.

Apparently Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif were shooting a flooding sequence, she fell down and her ankle was caught under a rope. She started screaming for help; Akshay Kumar — who has saved many  times — thought she was panicking because of the increasing water level, so he continuously tried reassuring her that she would not drown in that depth of water.

Only after her, “Save Me!” yell didn’t stop; Akshay realized that there was a trouble there. By then the rope had cut her ankle and left a deep mark.

The scar is so prominent that when her legs are exposed in a shot, she has to spend time to cover the ankle with layers of greasepaint.

Akshay is a great star, a super hero in actual fact, he feels sorry that he couldn’t save this tragedy, being superlative khaladi, famous to save the life of the people like Super Man or Spider Man.

Mumbai: Katrina Kaif is refusing to part with her favourite car although top mechanics of the city have asked her to let go of her damaged car by either selling it off or giving it for full body repair. The mechanics have also told to Katrina that by riding in the same car she is risking her life. But all this has fallen on deaf ears as Katrina says she is very sentimental to let this car go because it is “one of her first big cars”.

A close friend of Katrina Kaif reveals: “Katrina is a sentimental girl. Very few know that Katrina is very possessive of her things. She likes to keep all the things that she uses no matter how old they become or how bad their condition is. Be it her old wardrobe, music CDs, books and knick-knacks. Katrina at all times loves to hoard her belongings.”

The informer adds: “The Audi was one of her first cars and despite it being damaged recently, she does not wish to let go of it. The car was poorly damaged by some fans of the actress while she was promoting her film. Her fans had broken the glass and side doors of Katrina’s car and though she has the choice of buying another, she refuses to.”

Six Flags Inc. gained bankruptcy-court approval previous week to give a theme park ravaged by Hurricane Katrina above to the City of New Orleans.

The deal clears the way for the city to sell the former Six Flags New Orleans to a developer that would reopen the park; however that plan remains on shaky ground. The theme park has been closed from August 2005, as soon as Hurricane Katrina inflicted catastrophic damage also covered the property with several feet of water.

Six Flags, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in June, struck a deal to provide control of the property and the idled rides back to New Orleans. The company also granted to pay the city $3 million and to share a portion of insurance recoveries over $65 million, according to bankruptcy-court documents.

The deal halts legal action the city took against Six Flags in connection to keeping the park closed. With control of the property, New Orleans can now go ahead with plans to reopen the tourist attraction on the city’s eastern edge.

In August, SpongeBob SquarePants also Dora the Explorer joined Mayor Ray Nagin to announce that the park will reopen as “Nickelodeon Universe New Orleans.” However those plans fell apart previous month when the children’s cable network pulled out of the deal with Southern Star Amusement, the company that plans to renew the site.

Southern Star also said previous month that it will move ahead with plans to buy the land from the city, even without Nickelodeon.

Katrina is quickly recovering from jaundice, which had her bed-ridden recently. Katrina Kaif is gearing up for an appearance in Dubai later this week. Katrina was rushed to the hospital last Tuesday and was diagnosed with low haemoglobin is now rehearsing for the show. Doctors advised Katrina to take complete bed rest for a week. She even missed out on the promotions of her latest film De Dana Dan, which released last week. Now after seven days of rest, she seems to have regained her potency and will make her first public appearance later on this week for a function in Dubai.

Later this month, Katrina will join her family in United Kingdom for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Katrina Kaif in fact doesn’t have any new films starting till May next year so she can take it easy.

Kat says, “They have asked me to make an appearance instead of a performance now. It will take a few more weeks to get back to be usual though. So, am just taking it easy for now.”
