At the recent STAR Screen Awards, Katrina was apparently pacified with a last minute award after she failed to win the Best Actress award in either the popular or the critics’ category.

When she learnt that the awards were going to Vidya Balan and Kareena Kapoor, Katrina was obviously upset, especially as she believed she deserved to win, having delivered the maximum number of hits in 2009.

Katrina Kaif was scheduled to perform for the televised version of the show. To make sure that it all went smoothly, in a rapid decision a special award category was created and subsequently The Best Entertainer of the Year award was presented to Katrina Kaif.

Katrina, who stayed in her van all evening and didn’t sit with the guests, came out to gather her award and then went back to the van.
