The injure made with Hurricane Katrina in 2005 integrated the remaining crash on the psyches of kids.

Howard Osofsky, chairman of the division of Psychiatry at Louisiana State University, lately told the Earth & Sky broadcasting program that in the consequences of Hurricane Katrina he and his colleagues have assessed the psychological strength of 14,000 New Orleans children.

"We are considering lots of children who, though they’re satisfied to be back, are viewing symptoms of post-disturbing stress, despair, depending on their age, or troubles when it rains, when there’s a cloudburst," Osofsky said.

Recreating New Orleans includes upgrading children.

In the meantime, in 2007, a collection of related Press reporters went to New Orleans to appraise taken as a whole situation. A few of their stories were filed by the support of video cameras — a exposure tool that awaiting that coverage journey was not well-known to some members assigned to cover up the revival attempt. Video is a valuable tool, but, that is apparent in the work under, which together won an EPpy Award.
